How to Plan a Civil Wedding Ceremony?

Civil marriage is legally recognized in your home country.
Spouses will be provided with a multilingual Marriage Certificate valid worldwide, issued by the Town Hall of the town where the wedding ceremony is held.

Couples are required to provide all legal documents needed, according to their nationality, prior to their arrival in Italy. Fairy Tale Amalfi Coast Weddings will give all the assistance you need throughout this process, to make sure that all formalities are correctly handled.

What is Involved in a Civil Ceremony?

Civil ceremonies are officiated by a Public Official of the Italian Civil State, for example, the Mayor or the Municipal Civil Registrar, who will read the civil wedding articles and the Act of Matrimony in Italian.

An official interpreter translates the civil wedding articles and the Act of Matrimony into your language.

Civil marriage ceremonies take place in the local historical Town Hall or in specific licensed venues, approved by the Italian authorities.

Two witnesses over the age of 18 are required.
We can provide witnesses to your wedding as needed.
